The Reds splashed out a whopping £75m to land the 29-year-old Dutch defender from Southampton in 2018.
And Van Dijk has been instrumental in Liverpool's recent success and strengthened Jurgen Klopp's backline for the Reds.
The Netherlands captain has lifted both the Champions League trophy and Premier League title with Liverpool.

Napoli's highly rated Koulibaly, who has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United in recent seasons, finished behind Van Dijk in the rankings.
Ramos, who is often considered one of the best centre-backs in world football, surprisingly finished fifth in the top 10.
